What experience do you have as an athlete and coach?
I cheered for four years for football in high school. I was on NCA staff for 3 summers (’08-’10). I cheered at UNI for the 2010 football season. For the past four years, I have been the head cheer coach at Don Bosco Catholic High School (’10-’14).
What classes are you currently teaching at TNT?
This season at TNT I will be working with the recreational cheer classes and teaching a few flexibility/strength/conditioning classes and also some tumbling.
What is your favorite skill to coach?
My favorite skill to coach are sharp, clean motions. I also love to teach stunts of all kinds.
What does “TNT Mean to Me?”
TNT is the next level for cheerleaders of all kinds in the Cedar Valley and beyond. I am so excited to be a part of a gym so dedicated to advancing skills with a long-term vision that encompasses team unity and true character strength through hard work and quality people.
What are you Goals for 2014-15 season of rec or competitive
Beyond getting to know all the new athletes I’ll be teaching, my goals for the 2014-15 season for rec cheer is to make class fun and effective! I look forward to teaching all the basics and beyond. For the flexibility classes, I hope to encourage real goal setting and create specific drills and activities to meet each athlete’s goals.
What piece of advice do you have for TNT Cheer members?
My piece of advice to TNT cheer members is: learn to take nervous energy and convert it into performance energy! You can use this idea everywhere… Even for a test in school.

I am one of six kids. I have one older brother and four younger sisters!
